WWE releases shock roster cuts after WrestleMania | News.az
2026-04-25 · via Economic news

WWE has begun a major round of roster cuts in the wake of WrestleMania 42, releasing multiple wrestlers just days after its flagship event in Las Vegas.

The wave of departures began on April 24, marking one of the largest post-WrestleMania shake-ups in recent years. While roster changes are not unusual following major events, WWE typically conducts broader releases annually rather than in multiple phases, News.Az reports, citing foreign media.

Among those released are several well-known performers, including members of the Wyatt Sicks, a group created in tribute to the late Bray Wyatt. The faction, which included Bo Dallas (performing as Uncle Howdy), was formed as part of a storyline honoring Wyatt’s creative legacy.

Other reported departures include Nikki Cross, who confirmed her exit on social media after nearly a decade with WWE, expressing gratitude and saying she is “excited for whatever my next chapter will hold.”

Additional names released across the roster include several established and emerging performers such as Kairi Sane, Aleister Black, Zelina Vega, and others across different divisions.

The move follows WrestleMania 42, WWE’s biggest annual event, which often signals the start of a new creative and business cycle. Post-Mania roster changes are common as the company reshapes storylines, contracts, and long-term planning.

While WWE has not issued a detailed public explanation for the full scope of releases, the changes reflect a broader restructuring period as the company transitions into a new season of programming and talent direction.
