Palo Alto Networks an Eight-Time Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader
Jesse Ralston · 2019-09-20 · via Palo Alto Networks Blog

In any high tech industry, it’s not often that a company gets to define a new market, and then continue to expand and reshape it for more than a decade. It’s even less common in our highly competitive cybersecurity space. Maybe that’s why this year’s Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls feels like a milestone to us.

Gartner recognized Palo Alto Networks as a Leader for the eighth time in its 2019 Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls. We’ve achieved the highest position for ability to execute and furthest position for completeness of vision in the Magic Quadrant.

Palo Alto Networks defined the network security market with our next-generation firewall. In the last seven months, we have made significant improvements to the next-generation firewall to extend our Leader position. Now, the fastest-ever next-generation firewall from Palo Alto Networks has more than 60 new features and a revolutionary new DNS subscription.

Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls

Our Next-Generation Firewalls enable organizations to continually improve security effectiveness and efficiency – across the network, cloud and endpoints, including servers and mobile devices. Network security remains a core element to enterprises large and small, and we are always striving to innovate and help shape this space.

In a five-star review, one systems integration specialist described Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewall as “stable and reliable, full of features to suit almost any environment or situation.”

Our Next-Generation Firewalls secure businesses with a prevention-focused architecture that is easy to deploy and operate, use automation to reduce manual effort so that security teams can focus on what matters, and help customers easily adopt new security innovations. The efficacy of our Next-Generation Firewalls is evident in the trust placed in Palo Alto Networks by 65,000 customers in more than 150 countries. We’re honored to receive the highest Security Effectiveness Score and “Recommended” rating in the recent NSS Labs 2018 NGFW Group Test. We’re proud of our continued recognition as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant and a 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Enterprise Network Firewall (a distinction based entirely on verified customer feedback.)
