ZTE and Whale Cloud jointly showcase digital transformation solutions at MWC Barcelona 2026

ZTE and Whale Cloud showcase AI-ready NaaS and open-standard platforms to help operators accelerate digital transformation and service innovation

PARTNER CONTENT ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, and Whale Cloud, a global technology company providing software solutions and services for telecommunications and multiple industries, jointly showcased next-generation digital transformation solutions at MWC Barcelona 2026. Building on their long-standing collaboration in the telecommunications industry, ZTE and Whale Cloud presented a comprehensive, end-to-end portfolio designed to help Communications Service Providers (CSPs) accelerate digital transformation, unlock new growth opportunities, and evolve beyond traditional connectivity.

Driving Core Business Excellence for CSPs

At the heart of the joint showcase was a shared vision to strengthen operators’ core connectivity businesses through the deep integration of network capabilities and digital platforms. Whale Cloud demonstrated its unified and AI-ready Digital Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS), enabling CSPs to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer experience across the entire service lifecycle. Meanwhile, ZTE highlighted its latest innovation in AI computing infrastructure and telco service agents, driving TCO-optimized, end-to-end network AI solutions.

Enabling Second Curve Growth Beyond Connectivity

Beyond core connectivity, Whale Cloud and ZTE highlighted how CSPs can build second growth curves by expanding into digital services and new business domains.

Whale Cloud featured a range of beyond-connectivity solutions, including:

  • FinTech solutions, such as eWallet and SuperApp platforms, empowering operators to build digital financial ecosystems, increase customer engagement and create new revenue streams.
  • Cloud solutions, designed to support data sovereignty, security and regulatory compliance.

In addition, Whale Cloud provides cloud consulting services, implementation capabilities and cloud revenue engines, while ZTE delivers the underlying hardware, jointly enabling operators to evolve into trusted providers of cloud services.

Open Standards and Ecosystem Collaboration

Both companies emphasized an open, standards-based and ecosystem-driven approach, adopting industry standards such as TM Forum Open APIs and Open Digital Architecture (ODA), as well as GSMA CAMARA. By embracing open standards, Whale Cloud and ZTE aimed to help operators build future-ready platforms that foster innovation while maintaining flexibility, openness and control.

Going forward, ZTE and Whale Cloud will continue to deepen cooperation, jointly help global operators accelerate digital transformation, explore more innovative opportunities, and build a win-win digital future.
