This valentines day, Chennai is set to celebrate its love for all things pop culture as Comic Con India will make a stop at the city for a weekend of comics, cosplay, gaming and fandom communities.
The two day event will offer fans an opportunity to meet and interact with their favourite celebrities and creators and also cosplay as their favourite characters from across, movies, anime and gaming.
The convention will be headlined by American comic book writer Ron Marz, known for his work on ‘Silver Surfer’ and as the co-creator of ‘Green Lantern Kyle Rayner’.
It will also see the presence of Savio Mascarenhas, Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha, Prasad Bhat, founder of Graphicurry and other heavyweights in India’s comic, illustration, and visual storytelling scene.
The show will also feature stand-up comedy performances from comedians Azeem Banatwalla, Vivek Muralidharan, Daniel Fernandes, RamKumar and Kumar Varun alongside a musical segment featuring Chennai-based hip-hop artist Kenzo Y2K, multilingual singer Celinedee Matahari, and French musical duo Louis Lancien and Olga.
The 2026 edition will be the third time that Comic Con will be returning to Chennai after 2024 and 2025 editions. The 2025 edition saw a turnout of over 39,000 visitors and more than 4,500 cosplayer registrations over the two days.
