Australian technology services provider Kinetic IT has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of a former Capgemini public sector leader.

Kinetic IT appoints Jeremy O’Donohue to lead state government and critical infrastructure portfolio

Kinetic IT has appointed Jeremy O’Donohue as managing director for state government and critical infrastructure, bolstering executive leadership across two of the company’s most strategically significant and sovereign-critical markets.

O’Donohue joins Kinetic IT from Capgemini, where he most recently led the global systems integrator’s public sector business across Australia and New Zealand. He brings more than 20 years of experience driving growth, transformation and large-scale delivery across government, health, education and critical infrastructure, spanning both multinational and Australian-owned organisations.

In his new role, O’Donohue will be responsible for shaping growth strategy, strengthening executive-level customer relationships, and overseeing delivery outcomes for Kinetic IT’s state government and critical infrastructure customers nationwide. He will work closely with Leighton Freene, managing director for federal government, defence and national security, aligning leadership across Kinetic IT’s priority public sector markets.

“These appointments reflect a deliberate focus on leadership depth, customer alignment, and execution capability aligned to our key target markets, where customers are relying on us to solve increasingly complex, mission-critical challenges,” Shane Quinn, interim chief executive at Kinetic IT, said in a statement.

“Jeremy’s appointment strengthens Kinetic IT’s leadership bench at a time of strong growth, bringing deep market insight and a proven ability to deliver. The changes to our structure will sharpen accountability, strengthen customer focus, and support our targeted growth ambition.”

O’Donohue said Kinetic IT’s Australian ownership and customer-centric culture were key factors in his decision to join the company.

“Kinetic IT has built a strong reputation as a trusted Australian partner to government and critical infrastructure organisations,” O’Donohue (pictured) said.

“I’m excited to join at this point in the company’s journey and to work with customers and teams to connect capabilities, strengthen partnerships, and deliver outcomes that genuinely matter.”

As part of the broader leadership evolution, Kinetic IT has also appointed Cassie Loder as chief customer officer, consolidating responsibility for customer experience, partnerships, brand, and long-term growth under a single executive role.
