Hackers claim to have stolen 441 gigabytes of data.

Exclusive: NSW-based Strata Republic allegedly breached by Kairos ransomware group

The Kairos ransomware group has listed Pyrmont-headquartered Strata Republic as the victim of a cyber attack on its darknet leak site.

The hackers shared details of the alleged hack in a 17 April leak post, in which they claimed to have stolen 441 GB of data.

Kairos has not shared any details of their ransom demand but is threatening to publish the full dataset within five days.

Strata Republic has not responded to Cyber Daily’s request for comment.

Who is Kairos?

Kairos shared details of its first victim in November 2024 and since then has claimed attacks on at least 80 other victims.

According to threat intelligence firm Cyjax, Kairos is active on several Russian-language hacking forums and does not appear to be linked to other hacking groups.

Kairos has targeted at least six Australian victims, with its latest being Queensland-based pharmacy chain FriendlyCare Pharmacy, which was listed by the group earlier this month.

Who is Strata Republic?

Strata Republic is a strata management firm with offices in Sydney and Byron Bay that provides both commercial and residential strata services as well as management of Building Management Committees.

The company provides services to apartment complexes in Camperdown, Zetland and Erskineville in Sydney.

“We know what it takes to manage a building and the systems that are required to maintain it. We deliver quality strata management services without the bureaucracy that often comes in dealing with larger firms,” Strata Republic said on its website.

“With a focus on great communication, technology-enabled solutions and fast, responsive service we’ve built a reputation for delivering strata management at its best.”
