It's Time to Go After Achieving Zero Code Criticals
Bandhna Bedi, Salman Ladha · 2026-05-07 · via Wiz Blog | RSS feed

It's been a big few weeks for how we ship code securely. At Wiz we expanded AI-BOM visibility, secure guardrails baked into agentic coding flows, and self-healing remediation skills that let developers burn down vulnerabilities right from their IDE. If you missed any of it, catch up here

Building software used to require specialized skills. Today, anyone with a prompt can ship an     application, and that's exciting, but it means critical security Issues are showing up faster than ever, in code that's often generated, not written. When criticals with known fixes are still sitting in your environment, that's not a backlog problem. That's exposure.

The good news? Wiz equips you with everything you need to find, prevent, and fix them. The Zero Code Criticals badge is awarded to teams that eliminate every critical code issue with a fix available. Some teams have already earned it. Now we're challenging every Wiz customer to go after it with the tools to secure a new era of AI-powered development.

Your playbook to Zero Code Criticals

Getting to Zero Code Criticals doesn’t mean slowing down releases or adding more gates. It's about making security part of the way your team already builds, so criticals get caught earlier, routed faster, and fixed without friction. Here’s how to get there:

  1. See everything generating code. When anyone in the org can spin up an app using an AI coding tool, things move fast, and not all of it is visible to security. Wiz’s dynamic AI-BOM gives you a full picture of every AI framework, model, and IDE extension your teams are using, including the ones you didn't know about. You can't get to zero if you can't see where the Issues are coming from.

  2. Stop new criticals before they ship. Now that you can see what's generating code, stop the Issues at the source. Wiz embeds secure guardrails directly into agentic coding flows, injecting best practices before AI writes the code and scanning the output after. No new tools for developers to learn. Critical Issues get caught in Lovable, Cursor, and other AI coding tools before they ever reach the pipeline. Your critical count stops growing, and your team can focus on burning down what's already there.

  3. Burn down what's already there. That's where agentic remediation changes the game. New pre-built remediation skills, built from the Wiz Green Agent, can run natively in AI IDEs like Claude Code and Cursor. Developers run a simple command, and the skill pulls in full code-to-cloud context from the Wiz Security Graph to analyze code, identify Issues, and deploy fixes right in the console. Minutes, not hours and no waiting on security to tell developers what to do.

  4. Route, investigate, and automate the rest. Wiz Workflows ties it all together - routing issues to the right owner, surfacing a remediation plan from the Green Agent, and using Mika AI to summarize the issue with relevant context so the developer can review and approve right in Slack. No manual triage, no follow-up. And every workflow is customizable, so teams can build the process that works for them.

What zero means for your team

This isn't just about cleaning up findings. Teams that reach zero code criticals have shifted how security and development work together. Security is embedded in how developers build. Developers are empowered to fix issues themselves, instantly. It means you're not just keeping up with AI-powered development, you're ahead of it.

And we think that deserves recognition.

Open Wiz, navigate to the Champion Center, and click on the “Zero Code Criticals badge” to  start burning them down, with agentic remediation, Workflows, or however your team works best. When you hit zero, you earn the badge, displayed in your Wiz environment for your entire org to see. Share it on LinkedIn. Put it in your next board deck. Bring it up in every meeting. And show off the cool Wiz swag you’ll get once you’ve accomplished this milestone.

The race to zero starts now

Some teams have already crossed the finish line. Others are close. Wherever you are, Wiz is here to help you get there and stay there, with the visibility to see it all, the guardrails to stop new criticals, the AI to help you fix what's there, and the workflows to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Go earn your badge and the bragging rights.
