The Seattle Seahawks drafted Kansas wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr. with the 199th pick of the NFL Draft in the sixth round. While wide receiver was not viewed as a need for the Seahawks, they are always looking for difference makers on special teams. That being said, Henderson does have great speed and ability to perhaps carve a role behind this loaded Seahawks receiving core.

He only started as a receiver for one season at Kansas University. Last year, he totaled 766 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. He had 455 yards and a touchdown as a returner last season as well.

NFL Draft Analysts Viewed Henderson as a UDFA

GettyHenderson Jr. was not highly touted among draft analysts.

PFF ranked Henderson as the 338th overall prospect in the NFL Draft. However, they gave him respectable grades in 2025. He received a 70.8 receiving grade and a 68.3 grade against man coverage. The lack of production throughout his career hurts Henderson as a prospect.

Dane Brugler ranked Henderson as the 40th best wide receiver in this class. Brugler acknowledges the excellence of his 2025 season by mentioning that Henderson was an All-Big 12 player both as a wide receiver and a return man.

Brugler said, “Henderson falls into a very specific bucket as a receiver, but his speed can be weaponized in the right role, and his special teams impact will be an important aspect of his NFL projection.”

Emmanuel Henderson Jr.’s Athletic Profile

GettyHenderson Jr. tested as an above average athlete in the NFL Draft.

Henderson Jr. earned a 6.21 RAS Score after testing at the NFL Combine and the Kansas pro day. He is somewhere between 6′ and 6’1” and weighs between 185 and 186 pounds. His speed scores were great after running a 4.44 40 yard dash, a 2.59 20 yard split, and a 1.58 10 yard split. Sadly, his explosion drills were just okay as he only had a 35” vertical jump and a 10′ broad jump. His agility scores were also poor with a 4.33 second shuttle cone and a 7.34 second three cone.
