Over the last few years, the Buffalo Bills have come up just short of winning a Super Bowl. They have been right in the mix, but have faltered in the playoffs.

Heading into the 2026 NFL offseason, it was clear that Brandon Beane and the front office were willing to be aggressive. Right off the bat, the Bills acquired a No. 1 wide receiver for Josh Allen via a trade with the Chicago Bears for D.J. Moore.

Another big offseason splash came in NFL free agency. Buffalo signed veteran pass rusher Bradley Chubb. However, there are still questions marks that need to be answered.

Bringing in another pass rusher could be an option for the Bills. Outside of Chubb, they have Greg Rousseau and rookie TJ Parker as their top edge rushers. There is an intriguing option for Buffalo to consider if it wants to add another player.

Buffalo Bills Linked to Poaching Jadeveon Clowney From Cowboys

Alex Brasky of Sports Illustrated has named Jadeveon Clowney as one of the four most realistic free agents the Bills could sign before training camp.

“With a group of pass rushers filled with edge-setters, Clowney would bring bona fide sack production to the Bills’ defense. He recorded 8.5 sacks as a 32-year-old in his 12th NFL season in 2025,” Brasky wrote.

“Over the last three years, Clowney has totaled 23.5 sacks. The Bills should strongly consider going to get him for the $5.7 million he is expected to cost, according to Spotrac.”

Clowney was signed by the Cowboys following the start of the 2025 season. He immediately came in and earned a key role within the defense.

As noted by Brasky, Clowney turned in a solid performance. He recorded 41 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and four defended passes.

The Bills Should Stop at Nothing in Pursuing a Championship

In the NFL, championship windows are known for closing just as fast as they open. Buffalo needs to go all-in on bringing a Super Bowl home.

On paper, the team has the talent to win a ring. With Josh Allen leading the way, the Bills are going to be a serious threat in the AFC.

What Buffalo cannot afford is to come up one or two pieces short yet again. That has happened far too often in recent years. Beane and the front office should not hold anything back from improving the roster if an opportunity presents itself.

Clowney may not end up being that option. But, if the Bills feel that they could use more pass rushing depth, he would be an ideal fit.
