Could the Tennessee Titans add more to the offensive line?

The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Tennessee Titans walked away with a haul at several positions of need. But could the Titans turn to remaining NFL free agents to bolster the squad? Tennessee added wide receiver Carnell Tate, defensive end Keldric Faulk, and running back Nicholas Singleton during the three-day event, patching holes on both sides of the ball. The offensive line, though, still looks a little shallow from a glance at the depth chart.

Tennessee Titans Could Target NFL Free Agents After NFL Draft

Titans assistant general manager Dave Ziegler confirmed Thursday that the front office is keeping the door open for more reinforcements. Speaking to reporters, Ziegler was direct about Tennessee’s intention to keep adding bodies to the trenches. Per ProFootballTalk, he said:

“There’s a level of competition that’s still going to be taking place there. Whether it’s offensive line or other positions, we’ll continue to look to improve. Free agency is over and the draft is over, but there’s still an element of different areas of the team we will continue to add competition to. Offensive line will be one of those positions, along with some others. We’re going to give those guys an opportunity, they have the opportunity this spring, to prove themselves and earn the trust of the offensive staff, and have an opportunity to secure a role, but we’re also going to bring competition in, and if we can improve a position we’ll improve it.”

Titans Draft Fernando Carmona and Pat Coogan

Tennessee used two picks on the interior this year, drafting Arkansas guard Fernando Carmona and Pat Coogan, the interior lineman who played at Indiana and Notre Dame. Both will get a real runway to earn snaps this spring. But relying on two rookies alongside an already-young offensive nucleus is a steep ask — especially for a team trying to completely flip the script on offense in 2026.

Last year, the Titans had veteran guard Kevin Zeitler on a one-year deal, and Zeitler currently sits unsigned in free agency. Speculation is already building that Tennessee could pick up the phone on another short-term deal with the proven veteran — a move that would be a gigantic bolster to a line that still has questions.

The Titans’ New-Look Offense Needs Protection

There’s a reason Ziegler is still scanning the veteran market. The Titans are trying to resurrect one of the most putrid offensive attacks from last season, and they’ve brought in new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to lead the overhaul.

The skill-position room is loaded with youth and upside — wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, whatever Calvin Ridley can provide, Pro Bowler Chimere Dike, second-year pro Elic Ayomanor, and tight end Gunnar Helm rounding it out. But none of that matters if the front five can’t hold up.

Cap Space Still Gives Tennessee a Card to Play

According to OverTheCap.com, the Titans still own the most 2026 cap space of any team in the league — meaning Tennessee has both the financial flexibility and the stated intent to keep adding. Between Ziegler’s comments and Zeitler’s open availability, don’t be surprised if the Titans take another swing or two before training camp.
