Brandon Beane gets high praise.

May 4th is often one of the best days on the calendar, as many fans around the world celebrate it as National “Star Wars” Day. This is largely thanks to the franchise’s iconic line: “May the Force be with you.” This year, the Buffalo Bills are also getting in on the action, adding to the excitement of the day.

The Bills shared an image on X featuring a movie poster with the tagline “A New Home” alongside a picture of their stadium, cleverly incorporating the phrase “May the 4th be with you.”

Buffalo’s post pays tribute to the first “Star Wars” movie, originally released in 1977 under the simple title “Star Wars” before being renamed “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”.

Roger Goodell is Excited For The New Stadium

The Bills will be stepping into a brand-new Highmark Stadium this season, which will feature an open-air design rather than a dome. Many fans are excited to experience the new venue, but one person who is particularly looking forward to it is NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who hails from Jamestown, New York.

“I have a great deal of pride in Western New York,” he said. “But I also have a great deal of pride in the Bills, and how they’ve been able to work through and get the stadium in a great public-private partnership with the state, the county, and Terry Pegula and his team stepping up,” Goodell said on April. 1, via WGR’s 550 Salvatore Capaccio. “So I’m excited. I haven’t seen the stadium in a few months, but we saw some more pictures this week that have me even more excited, so I look forward to being there.”

Bills Made Another Big Change This Offseason

The Bills’ shift to a new stadium isn’t the only significant change they’ve made this offseason; in many ways, parting ways with their head coach was likely their biggest move for the 2026 season.

Following the Bills’ defeat to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional round in January, the team parted ways with head coach Sean McDermott after nine seasons. They have since promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to take on the new role.

The Bills have been the top team in the NFL over the past six seasons without making it to the Super Bowl, and some of that falls on head coach McDermott. Owner Terry Pegula decided it was time for a change after the loss to the Broncos.

“My decision to bring in a new coach was based on the results of our game in Denver,” Pegula explained while speaking with reporters on Jan 21, via NFL.coms Nick Shook. “I want to take you in the locker room after that game. I looked around. First thing I noticed was our quarterback with his head down, crying. I looked at all the other players. Looked at their faces and our coaches’. I walked over to Josh (Allen). He didn’t even acknowledge I was there.”

The pressure is now on Brady to lead the Bills to the Super Bowl, and it would make for an exciting story to see Buffalo win it all in the season its new stadium opens, especially with a new head coach at the helm.
