Josh Dun may be a new dad, but he is not so stressed out.

That’s because he entered this new chapter in life alongside wife Debby Ryan, who welcomed their baby girl back in December. And months after Felix Winter Dun’s arrival, the Twenty One Pilots drummer is still marveling at the Jessie star’s home birth and their little family of three. 

“My wife is awesome, ” Josh told E! News in an exclusive joint interview with bandmate Tyler Joseph at the 2026 American Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 25. “She gave birth in our bedroom. And we have a five-and-a-half-month-old who's also great. She flew out here yesterday and did great. It's a lot of fun.”

Though Debby gave insight into their home birth when confirming their daughter’s arrival, for Josh, 37, it was a transformative experience.

I think, for me, I understood what women go through to give birth, and it's intense,” he noted. “A lot more respect for all moms out there. I will say that it's no joke.”

“So, I just had a dog, and dogs are great, but I think having a little human and watching her brain start to like develop and become more aware and aware of me is just a feeling that I've never had before,” Josh admitted. “It's unbelievable.”

As for seeing Debby as a mom? He had the highest praise, emphasizing, “She's crushing it.”

These days life on the road will be different for Josh—whose bandmate Tyler is already a dad of three with wife Jenna Black—as his and Debby’s baby girl will be making stops on their tour with them.

Right now, “It's kind of show-by-show basis,” he shared, “but I like the idea of her traveling young and getting used to travel, getting used to seeing new places.”
