These Democrat clowns will be another drag on our bottom line.

Both Rep Dan Goldman and his Congressional primary opponent Brad Lander proudly back the idea of dishing out federal funds for drag-queen story hour.

And that, my friends, is a virtue signal that hopped into the DeLorean and time-traveled from 2022.

The pols support was made clear in a questionnaire from the Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club, asking if candidates had “hosted, funded or otherwise supported” a drag story hour.

“Unfortunately, the Majority does not allow funding from Members of Congress to support LGBTQIA+ programming,” Goldman wrote, according to an exclusive report in The Post. “However, once we take back the House, I certainly cannot wait to fund programs like Drag Story Hours and other programs … I would most certainly welcome the chance to host one.”

He cannot wait! What a creep.

Lander, meanwhile, took time from getting arrested at immigration court to say that, if he wins, he’ll look to fund, “affordable housing, healthcare, childcare, USAID, libraries and lots of arts and culture programs, most certainly including Drag Story Hour.”

Their almost religious devotion to grown men in dresses reading to small children certainly feels like the worst kind of throwback. When trans activists were at the height of their powers, infusing gender ideology into schools that allowed children to socially transition behind their parents’ backs. When biological men were given the green light to invade women’s spaces, including sports teams and locker rooms.

And, of course, when drag story hours spread across the country and Grace Church private school in Manhattan celebrated Pride in their chapel with a “RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant.

Any dissenters were called bigots and transphobes, even when they weren’t against the drag queens themselves — only bringing them into schools and libraries.

In 2023, protecting that practice became so sacred to celebrities that they hosted a “Drag Isn’t Dangerous” telethon where Marcia Gay Harden spoke and Charlize Theron issued a threat to anyone not on board with drag queens in schools.

“We love you queens! We’re in your corner, and we’ve got you, and I will f–k anybody up who’s like trying to f–k with anything with you guys,” the “Mad Max: Fury Road” star said.

Totally normal stuff.

Drag Story Hour is run by Drag Artists for Expressions NYC and partners with 120 public and private schools, as well as 90 public libraries, throughout the city. That’s a lot of cross dressers reading to impressionable kiddies.

“Through fun and fabulous educational experiences, our programs celebrate gender diversity and all forms of difference to build empathy and give kids the confidence to express themselves however they feel comfortable,” the group’s website says..

Meanwhile, both city and state taxpayers have shelled out $700,000 to boost the program over a decade. Yet city pols still have the gall to chant “tax the rich” so they can throw money at useless endeavors like dudes in sequins reading to minors.

Kids don’t need to “celebrate gender diversity.” They need to learn to read.

It would be nice if our politicians first dedicated funding to ensure that can happen, minus the dude tucked into his Spanx and wig.

Progressive enthusiasm for giving this organization money is just another example of the excesses of government.

They don’t even want to pretend they care about the fundamentals of the job. Misguided Dems have moved so far beyond their party’s once liberal but relatively common sense positions that they can’t even find the will to focus on the basics.

And even after seeing the shellacking the left took from Republicans in 2024 over their bizarre genuflecting to the pronoun police, they still want to shake down the taxpayer to fund this absurdity. With Trump’s approval ratings falling over the war in Iran and the economy imperiling the Republicans chances in the Midterms, the Dems still remain hapless and devoted to this kind of nonsense.

This is uber liberal New York City. So if a parent wants to take their kids to a drag reading on their own time, that’s their choice.

But it shouldn’t be in any schools. And it certainly shouldn’t be subsidized by our tax dollars.
