We’re roughly 24 hours from the NBA Draft, and it appears that the Washington Wizards still have their eyes set on AJ Dybantsa.

Darryn Peterson has been gaining a bit of steam in the sports community after it was reported that he only worked out for the Washington Wizards, leading some to believe he would be the top pick.

Peterson at one point went from 17.2 percent to 26.5 percent on Kalshi to be drafted No. 1 overall.

Dybantsa dropped to 69.4 percent as of May 15, but has shot back up to 85 percent as of this writing.

Meanwhile, Peterson is at the lowest percentage he has been in this pre-draft process, at just 16 percent likely to be selected No. 1 overall.

2026 NBA Draft No. 1 pick odds

Most prediction market apps have Dybantsa in the same area in terms of likelihood, as the former BYU stud continues to dominate pre-draft speculation.

Dybantsa has been compared to a wide range of NBA stars from yesteryear, including Scottie Pippen, Tracy McGrady, and Pascal Siakam, depending on how well he develops, both skill-wise and physically.

As for Peterson, he was the consensus No. 1 prospect out of high school before a disappointing freshman year at Kansas.

Peterson has since cited creatine consumption, forcing his rampant cramping issues that have resulted in teams souring on the very skilled guard.

Duke Blue Devils forward Cameron Boozer (C) looks to pass past a defending St. John's Red Storm forward Bryce Hopkins (L) and teammate St. John's Red Storm guard Dylan Darling (R).

Betting on the NBA?

Duke forward Cameron Boozer is hardly in consideration for the No. 1 pick, with just a two percent chance to be selected there.

Peterson is the expected No. 2 overall pick (68 percent) while Boozer has a 21 percent chance to be selected No. 2, a pick held by the Utah Jazz.
