She’s madame X-tra.

Lauren Sánchez hit the Met Gala 2026 red carpet in a custom Schiaparelli gown with a corset-inspired lace-up back inspired by John Singer Sargent’s iconic portrait “Madame X.”

The painting — which was once called the “world’s most scandalous” has long been one of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s biggest draws.

The navy dress had a va-va-voom low-cut neckline and pearl- and crystal-adorned straps, one of which fell off her shoulder in a nod to the painting.

The Blue Origin space traveler, 56, wore her long brown hair parted to the side, showing off a dazzling pair of 60-carat diamond and pearl drop earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. She added a 35-carat single-stone marquise golconda diamond ring by Schwartz on her left ring finger in place of her huge (though not quite 35-carat huge) engagement ring.

She posed on the carpet alone, without husband Jeff Bezos, before joining Nicole Kidman and Anna Wintour on the receiving line for the event.

Sánchez and.Bezos are serving as sponsors for the “Costume Art”-themed event, offering funding for the star-studded ball.

On Instagram, Sánchez credited stylist Law Roach for her look.

Page Six exclusively revealed that the Amazon founder and his wife paid at least $10 million for the role, which also earned them the titles of honorary co-chairs alongside Beyoncé, Kidman and Venus Williams — and has set off protests.

Ahead of tonight’s event, the pair threw a star-studded party, with attendees including Kendall Jenner and Kris Jenner, Brooks Nader, Lisa Rinna and all of their fellow hosts.

While Bezos previously sponsored the gala in 2012 via Amazon, Sánchez made her debut at the annual gala in 2024.

She wore a black mirrored ballgown that paid homage to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” theme with a floral pattern while Bezos kept it sleek in a classic black tuxedo.

The appearance came after she landed her own Vogue profile and accompanying photoshoot with Bezos in November 2023 — and this year follows her their lavish wedding in Italy, which, of course, landed a digital cover in the mag.

The bride and groom both wore Dolce & Gabbana, with sources telling Page Six ahead of the nuptials that Wintour helped choose the long-sleeved lace gown.

They’ve been knee-deep in the fashion world as of late, sitting front row at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year and working with high-powered Hollywood stylists like Law Roach and Jamie Mizrahi.
