Any person in Maine who votes for Graham Platner will redefine the state’s affectionate moniker “Maine-iac” (“Graham’s ‘crackers,’ ” June 5).

No one with a moral compass should vote for this guy. He has all types of baggage that should immediately disqualify him: He’s shown a liking for the Nazi movement via his chest tattoo, sexted six different women while married and has allegedly abused several former partners. He’s shown what an ass he is in his social media posts.

Please Maine, do the right thing in the voting booth and send him packing.

Platner said that bringing up his past miscues is “politically motivated.” But isn’t everything in politics by definition political? How is bringing up the horrible behavior of a candidate not relevant to the election?

We need to stop blaming things on politics. Nobody seems to take responsibility for their own actions. And when they’re caught, it’s always political. What a joke.

These are the knuckleheads trying to run our country. None of them deserve to be in office.

A simple question for every politician and activist who has endorsed Graham Platner to become the next United States senator for Maine: What exactly does a candidate have to do to lose your support?

For years, Democrats told us — loudly, repeatedly, and with great moral smugness — that they stand for assault survivors, respecting African-Americans, zero tolerance of antisemitism, honoring fallen soldiers, rejecting Nazi symbols and for norms and decency. That character is not negotiable and words have consequences. Apparently, all of that is negotiable if a candidate can flip a Senate seat; in that case, simply cover the tattoo and carry on.

It appears that Platner, our randy oyster farmer, can’t seem to get out of his own way. Not only can’t he identify a Nazi SS tattoo that he had on his chest for years, he also can’t seem to find an old girlfriend who has anything nice to say about him.

The mental gymnastics and contortions that he and his fellow Dems have employed to explain his misbehaviors are matters of legend. Graham is digging a deep hole for himself. I say to my Republican friends, just stay out of his way.

I see Graham Platner as the base deceiver in a comic opera, meandering about the set, sexting and warbling epithets against incumbent Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Jews, Israel, capitalism and raped women whom, he believes, deserve some blame for the assault. An arioso in a viral video details his wishes for the death of a fellow Marine.

That Democrats wish to replace Collins — the most inoffensive of the gang of 100 senators —with this deceiver is just precious and reveals the base’s true motive.

Sen. Chuck Schumer endorsed Democratic hopeful Graham Platner to become a senator for Maine.

I think that Schumer has officially abdicated whatever little shred of decency and support he had in the Jewish community by endorsing a candidate who is a Nazi sympathizer and a communist. Adios, Chuck, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Platner met with Senate Democrats, and left that meeting not only with his candidacy intact, but with the full support and backing of the country’s highest ranking Jewish politician: Sen. Chuck Schumer.

Schumer might have derailed this rabid antisemite’s quest for political office, but he refused. In so doing, he put his politics not only ahead of his country, but also ahead of his god.
