The Titans have doubled down on one of their defensive cornerstones.

Tennessee and star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons have agreed to a historic three-year extension worth $105.8 million, including $100 guaranteed, according to ESPN.

Simmons, who turns 29 in July, is coming off his third All-Pro selection and first on the First Team, and his fourth Pro Bowl honor.

The contract immediately becomes one of the richest deals ever awarded to a defensive lineman and reinforces Simmons’ status as one of the NFL’s premier interior defenders.

This contract provides some stability in the trenches for the Titans, who are still trying to dig themselves out of a rebuild following the selection of 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick Cam Ward as their franchise quarterback.

The extension makes Simmons the highest-paid player in Titans franchise history, placing him among the league’s top earners at his position.

Selected with the 19th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State, Simmons arrived after being one of the best linemen in the SEC.

Despite missing the beginning of his rookie season while recovering from a knee injury, Simmons was a consistent contributor in the pros right away.

A Pro Bowler in four of five seasons heading into 2026, Simmons recorded a career-best 11 sacks last year, as well as three forced fumbles and a high of 17 tackles for loss.

In his seven-year career, Simmons has notched 42.5 sacks, 66 tackles for loss and eight forced fumbles.

His combination of size, strength and athleticism has made him one of the most difficult interior defenders for opposing offensive lines to contain.
