MindMapVault FOSS is a privacy‑first, local‑only mind‑mapping app with a minimalist canvas and zero cloud dependencies. No accounts, no telemetry, no lock‑in.

This one is not part of the numbered series.

This is a direct invitation from an engineer building in public: open the live demo, test it hard, and tell me what you think.

Try the interactive demo

Why I am sharing this now

I wanted to ship a teaser that people can click and try immediately.

No fake screenshots. No slide deck. No polished sales theater.

Just the real UI running in the browser, so you can feel how the app behaves and judge it by yourself.

Full naked FOSS, by design

MindMapVault FOSS is built with a simple idea: keep it open, local-first, and privacy-first.

  • full open-source codebase
  • no hidden lock-in logic
  • no fake "community" shell over closed internals
  • practical architecture shaped by real engineering constraints

The interactive demo is not a toy mockup. It uses the same full-featured UI direction as the app itself, including the real interaction model around the mind-map canvas.

I want your real feedback

If something is confusing, slow, ugly, or annoying, tell me directly.

If something feels good, tell me that too.

I am sharing this for real community feedback, not only compliments.

  • What works?
  • What breaks your flow?
  • What should be simpler?
  • What should be faster?

If you like it, please support the project

If the idea makes sense to you and you want to support independent privacy-first FOSS work:

  1. Try the demo.
  2. Share your thoughts and critiques.
  3. Give the repo a star if you think it deserves it: https://github.com/mindmapvault/mindmapvault-foss

That signal helps more than people think.

Thanks for checking it out and helping shape it in public.
