I wrote a free transcription app ⚡️ Talkis. I created it for myself as an open-source alternative to paid subscription services.

What it can do:
• Transcribes calls (Zoom, Discord, Telegram, etc.) in real time, on the fly.
• Extracts text from any existing audio and video files.
• Smart dictation: speak your thoughts aloud, and the app polishes and formats the text to the desired style.

How it works: You can run the models entirely locally on your own hardware (completely free) or connect your API keys and pay just a few cents for tokens without any service markups.

This is an open-source project. I would greatly appreciate any feedback, bug reports, and a star on GitHub—these are the most important things for the project’s development right now.
