'Emily In Paris' Season 6 News & Updates: Everything We K...
Dessi Gomez · 2026-05-28 · via News

The time will soon come to say au revoir to Netflix’s Emily in Paris.

The upcoming sixth season of the French soap series has a release date, with a new European location added to the list of Emily’s various travel destinations. Season 5 of the hit show arrived in December 2025, and Season 4 was previously split into two parts in August 2024. The Season 6 renewal came in January 2026.

For everything we know about Season 6 of Emily in Paris, read on:

Watch on Deadline

Is Season 6 of Emily in Paris in production?

Season 6 has wrapped production on the street in Paris where it all began after filming on the final installment began in Greece. The Mediterranean island country was teased as a possible next leg for the story at the end of Season 5 when Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) sent a postcard to Emily from a yacht there.

“The thing that’s interesting about [Season 5] is, instead of it being open-ended for Emily, Emily is cool. She is fine. She is actually more concerned at work with what Princess Jane is bringing to the table,” Collins told Deadline. “She’s great with how she handled things with Gabriel and Marcello. It’s Gabriel that’s unsure, and I love that there’s a shift there.”

When does Emily in Paris Season 6 come out?

The sixth and final season will arrive on Netflix on December 24, 2026.

Will there be more seasons of Emily in Paris?

No, Season 6 will be the last. The Lily Collins starrer first debuted in October 2020, capturing attention with its fashion and plotline in the heart of the COVID pandemic.

Who will be in Season 6 of Emily in Paris?

It seems that most of the cast — including main stars Collins, Bravo, Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Bruno Gouery, Samuel Arnold and more — will return.

Camille Razat, who portrayed Gabriel’s flame Camille for four seasons, did not appear in Season 5. Pierre Deny, who portrayed Nicolas de Léon’s (Paul Forman) father, Louis, has died.

What happened in Season 5 of Emily in Paris?

Season 5 picked up with Emily in Rome as head of the Agence Grateau office, there. She was happy with Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Francheschini), until she realized she didn’t want to stay in Rome with him. She thought he was going to propose to her, but the ring ended up being for Mindy, who accepted Nico’s proposal at the end of the fifth season.

Previously, Mindy and Alfie had gotten romantically involved, but Mindy didn’t want to tell Emily, so the eventual reveal of the news came from Genevieve (Thalia Besson), and she was furious with her best friend. They eventually got over the conflict, though, and Mindy eventually ended up back with Nico, who came to Rome to fight for her. Nico is childhood friends with Marcello, which falls into the common theme of mixing business with friendship — among other things — in Emily in Paris.

“Mindy’s never chosen the easier path for herself. In past seasons too she’s always picked the harder path for herself when she knows it’s the right path,” Park told Deadline in a post mortem interview. “I think because maybe this rift with Emily softened her, I don’t want to say weakened her, she kind of just wants to choose the easy path. And we see her make decisions in a spontaneous way that maybe she shouldn’t.”

In the finale’s last moments, Alfie confronts Mindy, notices the ring on her finger and wishes her luck. He had previously shared his thoughts on Nico with her. Mindy looks at Emily and says, “What am I doing?” before the show ends.

Sylvie had to close the Rome branch of Agence Grateau, which is what enabled Emily to go back to Paris, and bring aboard a new financial backer, Princess Jane (Minnie Driver), for the rest of the company.

Chef Gabriel left his restaurant, which he had started with Antoine (William Abadie), and got a job cooking for a wealthy man on a yacht as it traveled the Mediterranean sea.

Who else is behind Emily in Paris Season 6?

Darren Star created the series, and he also writer, showrunner and executive producer.

Executive producers include Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss and Joe Murphy. The show is produced by Paramount Television Studios, Darren Star Productions and Jax Media.

Emily in Paris was originally produced for Paramount Network by MTV Entertainment Studios. The studio’s parent company went through two mergers since, Viacom-CBS and Paramount-Skydance. The studio underwent a couple of transformations too; it is now Paramount Television Studios. Darren Star Productions and Jax Media also produce the series.
