The problem may also be using the tool the wrong way. In general countme tries to give a rough 'age' of a system but is built around the assumption that a system is a singleton and long lived. Cloud instances tend to be short lived with large numbers of clones of an existing one showing up and then disappearing as a job grows or shrinks. Trying to count age on something that ephermeral has always lead to the 'cloud' numbers looking like this. At best, the cloud environments should just be considered 'rough' numbers using rolling averages of there were 'N' on this day not that they were of N age etc.
