some shapes randomly won't get recognised by the shape builder tool
<!--See our full bug reporting guidelines at https://inkscape.org/contribute/report-bugs/ Writing a good bug report will ensure we'll be able to help efficiently. 🙂--> #### Summary: <!--Summarize the issue/suggestion concisely:--> When working with the "Shape Builder Tool", it regularly happens, that certain shapes won't get recognised by the tool in a way that you can't use them for creating a shape. They are shown in a darker grey and when hovering over them, the underlying shape gets "selected" instead. When rotating the same collection of objects, the objects which won't work change. So the problem doesn't seem to caused by a specific object, as the exact same object will or won't work, depending on the rotation of the collection of the objects. When rotating individual objects, sometimes other objects in the collection suddenly start/stop working. I tested several different combinations. The problem doesn't seem to appear: * when I used only rectangles. * when I copied the circles with the "Create Tiled Clones" function from the edit menu * when using only a couple objects. Though rotation the collection of objects usually lead to some objects not working at certain rotations. Everything I tested is in the attached document. Thanks a lot for all your time put into Inkscape. I absolutely love working with it and it has been one of my favourite programs for many years. #### Steps to reproduce: <!--Describe what you did (step-by-step) so we can reproduce:--> - open Inkscape - draw a rectangle with the "Rectangle Tool" - draw a circle with the "Ellipse/Arc Tool" on top of the rectangle - duplicate the circle multiple times with Ctrl + D and spread them across the rectangle - select all the shapes and activate the shape builder tool #### What happened? After activating the "Shape Builder Tool", I can use only some the circles to create a new shape (the ones which have the same color as the rectangle) {width="636" height="429"} When hovering over one of the darker grey circles, with the intent using it for a shape, it instead "selects" the rectangle. {width="635" height="435"} #### What should have happened? It should be possible to use all the circles to build a new shape Sample attachments: <!--Attach the sample file(s) highlighting the issue, if appropriate.--> This is the file with all the tests if have done so far. {width=425 height=600} #### Version info <!--Open 'Help > About' and click on the little bug icon in the bottom right corner that copies the debug information to your clipboard.
