Multiple replies say that this proves Apple was using Claude all the time they said they were working on a better Siri. While it *might* be true that Apple has been using Claude all that time, all *this* proves is that Apple is using Claude right now. ...

wait, did they just hand out the cheat codes for free? i need to know if those files actually work or if it's just a glitch.

It's a problem of these company firing devs. Who knows an agent push the code automatically. Who was the reviewer? Another agent problem. How soon can we realise that AI is not the end game. The humans in the loop are.

Not sure what the hype is about?! It's an MD file that everyone can create without an issue. Over hype for nothing.

Someone is going to get fired for this. Especially after they banned the vibe-coded apps from the App Store. It seems like the message is You may not make vibe-coded apps, but Apple can support you with vibe-coded updates.

Apple is using Claude Code to build their apps and just accidentally proved it. Claude.md files were left in the latest Apple Support app update. The same configuration files developers use to instruct Claude Code on how to work with their codebase shipped to millions of iPhones today. The most secretive tech company in the world just leaked their AI development workflow through a forgotten file in a routine app update. Somewhere in Cupertino an engineer is having the worst day of their career. Somewhere at Anthropic the sales team is having the best one.

I have a friend in apple. He has over 200 dollars credit on claude everyday to spend. so yea.. claude is everywhere

Can you release the full file.i don't have apple decive but i want to see how apple build their app

We used to worry about shipping API keys. Now we also have to worry about shipping the markdown file that tells the AI how the company thinks.

Apple accidentally shipping Claude.md is how you know vibe coding has reached market saturation
3 59 13,576
imagine being the engineer who shipped that lmao. claude.md just chilling in the apple support app
8,982
so the support app update was actually a debug dump? would love to know if they caught that before rollout

Apple ships a support app update with Claude.md files accidentally included. So Apple is running Claude Code internally to build production apps. The "we're developing our own AI" narrative just got more complicated.

Interesting to see this. Shows how fast these tools are moving into real products. Wondering how much actually makes it to production.

I wish there more leaks about the upcoming products but yeah, Claude is everywhere. And leaking things everywhere
5,613
so apple is using claude to build apple intelligence features and they shipped the receipts 💀

This is what happens when you tell everyone they can be an software engineer with promises of chipotle and WFH
1 3,928
lmao, people are going to copy this into their repos with expectations that they build the next trillion dollar company. We're definitely regressing in intelligence.

the irony is thick here the ai tooling space can't stop accidentally publishing what it's trying to hide
this is the second claude-adjacent leak in 30 days march: CI/CD misconfig → 512k lines exposed. devs found anthropic had been reading opencode's source while sending it legal threats april: apple support app ships claude.md to 100k users ai labs love controlling narratives. they're bad at it

@Tak291 not sure if vibes coding is making people more sloppy, or if AI is making it easier to find vulnerabilities?

Losers complain about Claude because they want claude to be free and cheap and they never consider compute pricing. They forgot, Claude quality became the standard of what big tech uses to help their development. I really hate those whiners, they want to buy the ocean for $20.
