NBC‘s lineup for the 2026-27 season will have a similar feel to its current schedule — but one of the changes the network is making is a pretty big one.

A non-celebrity edition of The Traitors will lead off NBC’s Thursday night in the fall, bringing the reality franchise onto another NBCUniversal platform (the celeb version streams on Peacock). Alan Cumming will reprise his role as host of the series, which NBC ordered in August 2025.

The Traitors is one of three new shows that will run on NBC in the fall. The others are Line of Fire, a drama centered on a family of federal law enforcement officials, and Newlyweds, a comedy about a later-in-life marriage that stars real-life couple Tea Leoni and Tim Daly.

Line of Fire will air at 10 p.m. Mondays, following the 30th season of The Voice, and Newlyweds will pair with fellow multi-camera comedy Happy’s Place on Fridays. The two new series will take the place of canceled shows Brilliant Minds and Stumble on the schedule.

The Traitors “would be a hit on any platform with the size of the audience it has,” Jeff Bader, president program planning strategy at NBC, told reporters on a conference call about the network’s lineup. “We’re super excited to have it on NBC, and we really wanted it in an 8 o’clock time period. On Thursday, it will be fantastic to have a show to really jump-start that night.”

With The Traitors moving into 8 p.m. on Thursday, Law & Order — which got an 11th hour renewal for its 26th season — will move to 10 p.m., following Law & Order: SVU. The all-Chicago Wednesday lineup remains intact, as do sports on Tuesday (NBA), Saturday (college football) and Sunday (NFL). Comedies St. Denis Medical and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins are set to premiere on Mondays in November, shrinking The Voice from two hours to one.

NBC’s two other new scripted series, a Rockford Files reboot starring David Boreanaz and comedy Sunset P.I., will premiere midseason. Also on tap for later in the season is Wordle, a game show based on the New York Times puzzle game and hosted by Today anchor Savannah Guthrie

NBC’s schedule for the fall is below.
