The truism that good things come in small packages was never more readily apparent than at this year’s Watches and Wonders. The trend towards smaller-size watches continues, but this year’s fair took this to a new level with a slew of releases from the likes of Chanel, Bulgari and Piaget that played with proportion and preciousness. The cocktail watch, by the way, has never been more alluring. Call it the year of the “going-out watch” – we can expect to see timepieces become even more the ultimate celebrity accoutrement on a red carpet soon. Read on for the ones to covet most in 2026.

Piaget Sixtie

Piaget returned to its golden era of the swinging 60s with new additions to its Sixtie watch. The watch itself, first introduced in 2025, is a nod to its Andy Warhol timepiece, instantly recognisable with its cushion shape and gold gadroons, albeit now in smaller proportions. The addition of alluring new stone dials only adds to its jet set appeal.

Cartier Baignoire

Beloved by dream girls throughout history, from Catherine Deneuve to Kendall Jenner, the bathtub-shaped Baignoire watch gets a chic update this year with a Clou de Paris technique applied to the case, dial and bracelet – adding a spiky elegance. The new art deco Myst de Cartier on a stretchy bracelet is also a nod to the taste of legendary Cartier creative director Jeanne Toussaint (1887–1976).

Chanel Coco Game

The sportily chic J12 in glossy white ceramic gets a cute little cut-down into an appealing 28mm size. Meanwhile, the playful Coco Game capsule featured a sweet charm bracelet, setting the face of the house’s Première watch against mini charms spelling out Chanel. Coco would surely approve.
