Experience the AI Factory
Supermicro Experts · 2026-03-17 · via Supermicro Data Center Stories

Developed with DDN and NVIDIA, this immersive and interactive experience is being unveiled at the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2026 in San Jose

The AI Factory is simple in concept: raw data from the enterprise enters and intelligence in the form of model tokens is delivered. But AI factories have never existed before, and this is still an abstract concept.

What if you could experience the AI Factory and bring to life the technologies, infrastructure, use cases and examples that an AI Factory powers? This is the idea behind the “Driving AI Breakthroughs” mobile AI Factory Experience. Developed with DDN and NVIDIA, this immersive and interactive experience is being unveiled at the NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2026 in San Jose.

The “Driving AI Breakthroughs” AI Factory experience is hosted within a 40-foot truck. The AI Factory concept and implementation is explained in a series of interactive demonstrations including an immersive rack-sized touchscreen showing all the components of the AI Factory including Supermicro’s GPU servers based on NVIDIA HGX  Platform, NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 and NVIDIA MGX  as well as the end-to-end liquid cooling infrastructure which Supermicro has developed.

Also explained through demonstration is a related concept, the NVIDIA AI Data Platform (AIDP). The AI Data Platform is a NVIDIA reference design which combines storage, accelerated computing, and software to enable AI workflows. The AI Data Platform is used by the AI Factory to pre-process the enterprise data, ingest and vectorize unstructured data and enable indexing, re-ranking for RAG, document processing, video analytics, and other use cases. The Supermicro and DDN AI Data Platform solution is HyperPOD and based on Supermicro’s Hyper Servers and HGX accelerated servers using the NVIDIA RTX PRO™ 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPU. One key to the AI Data Platform solution is the integration of DDN’s Infinia software-defined storage and NVIDIA’s Enterprise AI acceleration libraries. This enables enterprises deploying the AI Data Platform a complete hardware and software solution which can be used out-of-the box.

Showcasing actual use cases is another feature of the AI Factory Experience. Four use cases will be demonstrated including enterprise RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), a risk management solution used in financial services asset management, a genomics and drug discovery example showing DDN’s IndustrySync Life Sciences pipeline and an intelligent video analytics example showing a network edge use case for traffic and safety.

Touring the AI Factory Experience requires a NVIDIA GTC conference badge. The truck will be parked at NVIDIA GTC Park. You can make a reservation to see it using this link: https://www.ddn.com/ai-factory-tour/

If you are not going to be at NVIDIA GTC, we’ll be driving the AI Factory Experience truck throughout the country in the next few months. Check back to see which cities and dates will be included. https://www.ddn.com/ai-factory-tour/
