Other World Computing (OWC) at Computex 2026 showcased one of its most important product launches for the year, the OWC Stack AI. It is the world's first Thunderbolt 5 AI accelerator and storage hub, designed to let users "own their AI." It expands the effective working memory of existing Windows and Linux PCs and laptops through high-speed flash storage—the inverse of a RAMdisk, a DiskRAM, if you will.

Connected via a single Thunderbolt 5 cable, this highly portable device allows users to run massive AI models, fine-tune applications, and conduct multi-turn sessions locally without crashing or experiencing slowdowns. By eliminating the need for cloud offloading, organizations ensure that confidential legal, financial, or medical data remains securely on-premises. In doing so, it counteracts per-token cloud billing, offering compounding cost savings through a single one-time purchase, as OWC tried to illustrate in its presentation. It is compatible with OpenClaw.

The company also showcased the Express 4M2 Ultra, a high-capacity Thunderbolt 5 SSD enclosure targeting creative production houses. This is a M.2 NVMe RAID enclosure that supports up to four M.2-2280 SSDs, each with a Gen 4 x1 connection for up to 1.6 GB/s of sequential transfers, and up to 6622 MB/s of maximum speeds. It supports NVMe RAID 0/1/4/5/10/JBOD modes. Perhaps the most striking feature is that the enclosure supports daisy-chaining, so a single 80 Gbps Thunderbolt 5 connection can be used to connect multiple of these enclosures. OWC is selling these enclosures for $400 a pop.
