Conscious Minimalism
John Gregoriadis · 2026-05-14 · via jonno.nz

How I build: small, narrow, niche, AI-native.

I build with Conscious Minimalism.

Conscious Minimalism means every decision, every feature, every commitment is a choice. Nothing ships by default. The shape grows with the customer, not the roadmap.

I obsess over the interface, not the internals. The boundary is what you live with, and what you refactor and scale.

I optimise for speed to de-validation. The faster I kill a bad idea, the less sunk cost owns me.

I fix one narrow painpoint, not a broad category or a platform play. One thing, done properly.

I aim to be the best at that one feature, not one of the good ones in the list.

I chase niche over crowded. Niche means the idea is more unique, with a better outcome than the legacy approach.

Crowded is a signal of competition. Without a 10x better solution, you probably will not make it.

I bet on AI-native platforms and APIs. Anything that does not use AI as a primitive is already legacy.
