And in order to celebrate this I'm running a Launch Fest where posts can participate and be endorsed for a chance to be stickied at the site's home (more info in the FAQ).
The spirit and central idea of this site is in on itself anti-viral. That's by design. I don't want to hack dopamine to drive engagement. But that poses a question: why would people come back to the site? Once you write your post there's little to no incentive to come back. Maybe once in a while you might have fun reading other people's posts but if there's no reason to come back at least once a day users will probably forget this site exists.
There must be a way to counter this and Fests themselves are one idea I had myself so people have a meaningful reason to come back. I want to hear your ideas. What could make this site fun and worthwhile to come back to? I'm not looking for a feature wishlist. Let's figure this out together in engaging discussions while having fun trying to build a platform we can enjoy sustainably in the future.
