DRIFT FORMS – Utah, USA
Captured from above, these abstract aerial photographs explore the intricate textures and sculptural forms shaped by wind across desert dunes in the American Southwest. Through the interplay of light, shadow, and shifting sand, the landscape begins to resemble snow drifts, frozen waves, and other transient natural forms.
What fascinated me most was the constant transformation of these surfaces. Wind continuously reshapes the dunes, while changing light throughout the day reveals entirely different patterns, textures, and contrasts. No two moments look quite the same, turning the dunes into a fascinating study of movement, impermanence, and form.
