‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Sets Disney+ and Hulu Release Dates...

Gird your loins because “The Devil Wears Prada 2” will be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu starting July 29. The sequel has grossed $677 million so far at the worldwide summer box office.

Released theatrically on May 1, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” opened 20 years after the original “Devil Wears Prada” debuted in theaters in 2006. Audiences were first introduced to Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) as an assistant to Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). In the sequel, Sachs returns as the magazine’s features editor. Fellow former assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) is now a high-powered executive at Dior, who controls the advertising money Runway is in need of maintaining after a scandal.

In addition to Hathaway, Streep and Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman reprise their roles in the sequel. New cast members include Kenneth Branagh and Patrick Brammall as Streep and Hathaway’s respective love interests, plus Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Justin Theroux and Pauline Chalamet.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” features a plethora of fashionable looks courtesy of costume designer Molly Rogers, an dcameos galore. Ashley Graham, Donatella Versace, Lady Gaga, Kara Swisher, Jenna Bush Hager, Paige DeSorbo, Hannah Berner and Tina Brown all appear in the film. 

David Frankel, who directed the 2006 film, and Aline Brosh McKenna, who wrote the original screenplay, returned for the sequel along with producer Wendy Finerman. Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and McKenna executive produced the film.
