gratitude

I linked to a terminal music player over at the hub this morning, which I’ve been playing with since then. I say Wow!

It’s got an excellent equalizer and visualizer. You can play any radio stream or pick one from Radio Browser, which I’m familiar with from using Home Assistant. Or play something from your own music library. I discovered a new-to-me Blues stream searching Radio Browser via the player. I like that.

Things like this make me appreciate how I spend my time... and appreciate some people I’m blessed to know. Thanks again mikael!

bad Apple...bad!

03/25/26-Update: It was nice while it lasted. Oh well…

01/30/26-Update: Problem resolved. If you’ve experienced similar issues, get in touch and I’ll point you to the solution I found. Thx.

I find it hard to believe that Apple is programmatically nagging users to update to Tahoe (despite compatibility issues) without giving users the choice to say no.

Some time ago, I learned the hard way that Tahoe won’t even boot on my 2020 iMac (Intel). And I can’t get back the huge amount of time consumed in recovering my machine. Back then, I chose to do the update, but currently, many users with Automatic Updates turned on are learning the same lesson.

Why doesn’t Apple know about these compatibility issues? And if they do, why don’t they care about wasting their customers’ time?

What in hell happened to them?

Absolutely incredible!
