The Tariff is a broad metric based on a qualification's size and grading structure, and uses regulated information to inform its allocation. The Tariff score allocated to V Levels aligns with the standard set out in the Department for Education's post-16 pathways implementation plan and regulatory information confirmed and supplied by Ofqual.
Further information on this can be found on the Department for Education’s website and the Ofqual consultation response.
The Tariff points allocated for each overall grade are as follows:
| V Level grade | Proposed UCAS Tariff points |
| A* | 56 |
| A | 48 |
| B | 40 |
| C | 32 |
| D | 24 |
| E | 16 |
| P | 12 |
Further information, advice and guidance will be available in the coming months.
