.Com domain registrar rankings – GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace and more
Andrew Allem · 2026-05-04 · via Domain Name Wire | Domain Name News

See the fastest-growing and fastest-shrinking domain registrars.

The words ".com rankings" next to two graph lines with a yellow background

ICANN has published the latest registrar-by-registrar data for the .com namespace using official data Verisign provides to ICANN. The data is always three months in arrears; the newest data provided is for January 2026.

Some observations for the latest numbers:

    • GoDaddy, which typically sees its DUMs decrease every month, saw net growth of 68k in January. This is likely due to the company’s .com promotion, which performed better than expected, and the company dialed it back in Q1.
    • This may have been Cloudflare’s best month ever for new .com registrations.
    • Metaregister had about half as many registrations in January than in December.
