SharePoint 2010只能运行在64-bit (x64)Windows Server 2008 SP2 和 Windows Server 2008 R2上面。SP 2010不能安装到任何32位系统上，或者早期的其他Windows版本，如Windows2003.
但是做为开发人员，我们总不能在自己的机器上安装个Server版吧，毕竟还得要看电影，玩游戏等等。不过微软好象也想到了这点，为了简化开发，你可以在64位Windows 7或62位Vista Sp2上面布置开发环境。具体安装方法可以参数下面的文章：http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee554869(office.14).aspx。 我的博客中一篇文章是关于如何在Server上安装SP2010的：http://www.cnblogs.com/hearticy/archive/2009/11/30/1613532.html。
