On May 13, 2026, Games Workshop announced that Warhammer Skulls, an annual, online festival that celebrates Warhammer video games, will be hosting its 2026 stream on May 21, 2026, at 5:00pm BST/6:00pm CEST/12:00pm EST/9:00am PST (which also happens to be its 10th anniversary).

This festival will include a ton of reveals and news updates for current and upcoming Warhammer video games, as well as provide discounts on Warhammer video games from various digital platforms from May 21 to May 28, 2026.

Warhammer Skulls 2026 is slated to provide news updates on the following Warhammer titles:

• Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
• Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
• Warhammer Total War 3
• Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
• Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2
• Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader
• Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy
• Warhammer: Survivors
• Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4

Additionally, Games Workshop has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2, a long-awaited sequel to a cult, tactical turn-based game from 2018, will be released on May 21, 2026.

This game will have you play as the tech-worshipping Adeptus Mechanicus faction or the immortal Necron legions as they fight for control over a world rich in resources and secrets.

On top of that, the announcement trailer for Warhammer Skulls 2026 has included a teaser for an update for the 4-player co-op shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

The game I'm looking forward to seeing news updates during Warhammer Skulls 2026 the most is Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, a turn-based CRPG where you play as a space-faring Rogue Trader exploring the Koronus Expanse for the Imperium.

I absolutely love Rogue Trader for bringing Warhammer 40,000 to life in a CRPG format with its rich storylines, intriguing characters, and gloriously fun and bloody combat.

So what I'm hoping for during Warhammer Skulls 2026 is that we'll finally get to see gameplay footage of “The Infinite Museion”, Rogue Trader's 3rd upcoming DLC expansion, as we've only seen teaser trailers for it thus far.

Speaking of teasers, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide's teaser trailer caught my attention. At first, it doesn't seem to be anything special as it shows the Reject Player Characters witness enemies being gunned down by an unknown entity shrouded in fog.

However, YouTube commenters are speculating that, based on the bright blue plasma fire and Servo Skull drone buzzing around enemies, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide may be getting another Class DLC update, this time of a playable Skitarii Ranger.

For those unaware, Skitarii Rangers are the Adeptus Mechanicus faction's hunter-killers trained to hunt enemies using long-range galvanic rifles while sometimes being aided by a Servo Skull drone.

Given the fact that Rogue Trader's 3rd DLC expansion is going to include a new Tech-Priest Manipulus companion called Eogunn Februs, and that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 is releasing on the same day as Warhammer Skulls 2026. I'd say it's looking increasingly likely that Darktide will announce an Adeptus Mechanicus-themed playable Class during the event.

It wouldn't be the first time that multiple Warhammer games have released similar-themed DLC updates around the same time. Last year, Darktide received a playable Adeptus Arbites Class around the same launch period as Rogue Trader's Lex Imperialis DLC, which introduced an Arbites companion, Arbites Origin for the player character, and much more.

Then again, we could get an entirely different playable Class for Darktide, or the update may not have a new playable Class at all. Either way, we will have to wait until May 21, 2026, to find out.

Other games I'm looking forward to seeing at Warhammer Skulls 2026 are Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy.

I adored the first Boltgun game for being a glorious boomer-shooter take on Warhammer 40,000, so I can't wait to hear when I can purge heretics again as the bloodthirsty Malum Caedo while playing as the new Sister of Battle character, Nyra Veyrath, in the sequel.

As for Dark Heresy, it's looking like a fascinating follow-up to Rogue Trader with a darker story, an improved combat system, a complex Investigation system, and more. So I can't wait to see what else it's planning to reveal, along with, hopefully, a release date for the full game.
