Spice Girl, ready! Mel C looks exactly like a gladiator i...

Mel C showed off her Sporty Spice physique as she posed in a red leotard in behind the scenes Instagram snaps from her new album Sweat.

The Spice Girl, 52, who is set to drop her new album on May 1, looked exactly like a gladiator as she showcased her figure in a plunging red and navy leotard.

The singer put on a very leggy display in a pair of towering red ankle boots as she posed up a storm on a small podium.

Styling her long tresses loose, Mel accessorised with a large pair of silver hoop earrings and tensed her arm and leg muscles.

In a short clip, Mel revealed that she took a 'big and expensive risk' ahead of shooting the music video.

She said: 'We may have shot the video for Sweat before we got clearance on the sample, I mean that was a big and expensive risk to take, but it paid off.'

In another photo, Mel flaunted her toned abs in a khaki crop top and black cycling shorts as she posed on a spin bike wearing a pair of towering stilettos.

Celebrating the new album, the singer tucked into a huge cake which featured her face on the top surrounded by mini dumbbells.

She penned: 'Prepare to SWEAT! Two weeks to go!'

It comes after Mel completed her first Hyrox competition as she shared a clip of herself compete on Instagram.

In the video, the singer looked incredible as she displayed her toned figure in a black sports bra and shorts.

Alongside the post, she penned: 'Hyrox my most recent fitness challenge. Massive thank you to my sister @emmaspice77 the REAL Sporty Spice for getting me signed up. Love ya sis!

'Good luck to everyone racing in London this weekend, gutted to miss it.

'Who’s feeling up for a Sporty Challenge?'

It comes after Mel revealed the sweet way she manages to spend time with her Australian model boyfriend Chris Dingwall, given her constant touring schedule.

The singer told last week's Stellar magazine that her boyfriend Chris is able to accompany her on the road, meaning they manage to spend lots of quality time together.

'Rather than separating work and life, I enjoy them both together, which has been a big shift. I think that really happened after I met my partner, Chris,' Mel began.

'He's able to travel with me a lot. He's a screenwriter so he can work from anywhere, and that usually means with me, which is good for me.'

Mel went public with the Australian model in 2024, after the pair matched on celebrity dating app Raya.

'It's so beautiful to be able to enjoy the life I have with the person I love,' she added.

She also addressed rumours of a Spice Girls reunion tour, revealing she was in constant contact with her former bandmates.

'It’s something I'd love to do... something I hope will happen at some point. We're so precious about this beautiful thing we created that sometimes what holds us back from doing something is that we don’t want to do the wrong thing,' she said.

'In 2019, we did some stadium shows in the UK, and they were magical, but sadly Victoria Beckham wasn’t with us for those. She really missed out and I keep telling her, "You have to experience that for yourself",' she said.

'So, we will continue to talk... fingers crossed at some point there will be something beautiful that can celebrate the Spice Girls.'

Mel C will be performing across Australia in November to promote her upcoming studio album Sweat, to be released on May 1.

In January, Mel hinted that marriage could be on the cards with her boyfriend Chris Dingwall as she reflected on past struggles with depression and loneliness.

Mel shares daughter Scarlett with property developer Thomas Starr, her partner of 20 years, before they split in 2021.

She was previously in a seven-year relationship with her former manager Joe Marshall, which ended in 2015.

She opened up about her future with Chris - and whether wedding bells could be in their plans.

She penned: 'Prepare to SWEAT! Two weeks to go!'

She also shared a photo of her vinyl album

Mel told The Times: 'It's something I didn't think would be part of my story, but I'm so happy with Chris. Maybe it is something that will be in my life.'

Elsewhere in the interview, Mel spoke honestly about the deep loneliness she experienced as the Spice Girls began to split in the late '90s.

Under relentless scrutiny in the public eye, she developed issues around food and found herself consumed by work while neglecting her personal life.

By the turn of the millennium, she reached breaking point.

'I'd started having a binge-eating disorder, but I didn't understand it,' she admitted.

Mel eventually sought professional help and was diagnosed with clinical depression and disordered eating - a turning point that marked the beginning of her recovery.
