Squad in full
Here you go.
Here is the official squad in full, and what I want to say first is: what a snazzy graphic that is.
The more I look at the squad, the more I see the quality. Yes, some of the big calls are still shocking, but hey, there are still a lot of brilliant players in there.
The starting line-up will be very strong, that's for sure.

Tuchel: 'I could feel the emotion of players on phone'
Thomas Tuchel, England head coach, on omitting big names like Cole Palmer and Phil Foden:
Difficult phone calls because I respect all of them, as players and personalities. All of them deserved a call-up from the list of 55. To reduce was difficult, sometimes painfully difficult. Even in the phone calls, I felt the emotion. All the players who were with us in the camp I called them. I wanted to show them the appreciation and respect.
We went back to the evidence we have, where the leadership group and the team itself. We made some bigger calls in September, then made a few changes in November. We have younger players who play with younger players and excitement. A good mix between youthfulness and senior partnership.
We tried to have a balanced squad and not bring five number 10s and play them out of position. Even though it's painful for the players, and not easy to deliver, I think it was the right call.

Tuchel: 'It's hard to please'
Thomas Tuchel, England head coach, speaking on his squad:
Was a lot of phone calls over the last few days. A lot of thinking. A lot of deciding. A lot of difficult decisions. Now I feel relieved, excited, and ready to go. Once the decisions are made, it gives you an edge, clarity, and in one week, we are on the plane. I can't wait to be on the plane and actually be a coach.
We build are ways through the tournament, with meetings. It takes a while; we don't make it easy for ourselves. We are hopefully together for six or seven weeks. I love the difficult decisions; they give a certain clarity.
Yes, it's hard to please. In the end, we have to pick the squad that we as a staff love and really believe. As a player, you feel the love of your coach; if there are doubts, you don't play at the same level. Who sets the standards, who are the drivers, who are the leadership group. The connection has to be there.
It is not fully out of the picture of what the public and media think, what would we think from the outside? But mostly it's about the energy, connection, and trust.

'Big disappointment that there is no Gibbs-White'
As expected, the England squad is what we predicted overnight. For all of the surprises, the one that is the biggest disappointment, for me, is Morgan Gibbs-White.
Harry Kane apart, is there a more in-form English player right now? Maybe club-mate Elliot Anderson. And that is another reason he should have gone, that connection with Anderson.

'You'd expect Maguire to be there'
Theo Walcott, former England striker:
There is experience there, but there are players you'd expect to be there that are not there, like the Maguire's.

Two mins until announcement
Oh, hello...
I have just noticed there is a countdown clock on this stream, and there are only two minutes left on it.
That means we will find out Thomas Tuchel's official England World Cup squad in just a moment.
Anticipation is low, considering we all know it already.

Lewis-Skelly set to miss out
Another big absentee.
While we have known the England squad for a while, there was one position we weren't quite sure about.
It was a bit up in the air whether Djed Spence would be going to the World Cup, or Myles Lewis-Skelly.
We now believe that it is definitely Spence who will be on the plane, and the Arsenal star will miss out.
His late resurgence this season wasn't enough.

Could be a while
I have a sense that we may need to wait a while for the announcement.
Daniel Sturridge and Theo Walcott are now just waffling with the presenter about their World Cup experiences.
Some interesting stuff, but not now, lads, we just want the confirmation.
I feel like I am watching the draw...

'Here is who I think Tuchel will start'
While we wait for official confirmation, here is my XI to start the tournament (this is who I think Tuchel would go with, were we kicking off tomorrow).
Pickford; James, Konsa, Guehi, O'Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Saka, Bellingham, Rashford; Kane.

'Anticipating killing me'
Daniel Sturridge, former England striker, during the squad announcement:
The anticipation has been killing me; I have been waiting patiently. I am so excited for this. Can't wait to see the squad.
Don't act like you don't already know the squad, Daniel...

(It's definitely the former...)
