Tucson police are combing an area where a live streamer reported discovering 'bones' close to missing Nancy Guthrie's home.
The 84-year-old mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie disappeared on February 1, and police believe she was kidnapped from her house.
Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz broke the news about authorities combing a desert region about 15 minutes east of the property on Thursday.
Ruiz posted video showing investigators searching the area, which has been cordoned off with police tape.
The reporter said the location is 'where a live streamer reported finding bones', but the remains 'have not yet been identified'.
'I’m told that protocol would be for responding officers to take a photo to a forensic anthropologist at the county medical examiner’s office who can make a preliminary determination on whether they belonged to a human,' Ruiz wrote on X.
