Relative of British travel influencer missing in Morocco ...

The cousin of a missing British travel influencer in Morocco has denied claims that she has been located.

Scottish social media star, Rachel Kerr, was staying in Agadir, a city on the country's southern Atlantic coast, when her family lost contact on April 25.

The 31-year-old had been staying at the Caribbean Village, an all-inclusive three-star hotel, but checked out on Saturday and has not had her phone on since.

Reports swirled on Wednesday that she had been located in an apartment at around 9am after checking out of her hotel.

But her cousin, Claire Hill, has been responding to these rumours on a Missing People Facebook group post she made, denying the claims.

'Despite statements from local authorities, to be clear, she has NOT been found nor is she in contact with her brother. Her brother is in Agadir looking for her and has not been able to trace her or make contact,' she wrote in one response.

'Elaine Roberts, she has not been found. Family are in Agadir and have not been able to locate or make contact!,' she said in another.

'Laura Taylor, no, she has not been found,' she posted in a third.

Rachel Kerr has not been seen or heard from since Saturday

Reports swirled on Wednesday that she had been located in an apartment, but her family has denied this

Rachel's friend Alexis Shaw said overnight: 'She is in mental crisis and a danger to herself' as she denied speculation the Scots tourist had been spending time with a Moroccan barman.

Alexis, who lives in Kirkby near Liverpool, had already confirmed the police were involved in one of her first Facebook posts after the worrying disappearance.

She said: 'The police are involved. She was last seen at Smart Nightclub 5am on Saturday.

'She ran out of money completely on Friday. Please get in contact if anyone sees her, as police are trying to locate her to get her home safely.'

She told a well-wisher who responded by asking when pretty Rachel was due to fly home: 'She was due to fly home a couple of weeks ago, and her brother flew out to find her, but she hid her passport as she is in a bad mental place right now.

'Her brother had to leave and come home after a few days for work, and she was refusing to come home.

'She is no longer in the hotel and has run out of money.'

Early this morning, in response to social media comments about Rachel allegedly meeting someone she could be travelling around Agadir with, Alexis begged: 'Speculations are not needed on this matter, only helpful facts.'

She added: 'She has not met a guy and is travelling. Her phone is not broken. She is in mental crisis and a danger to herself.'
