A rolling car left a rural road where it hit and killed a woman out for a morning walk with her dog.
Emergency services rushed to O'Keefe Rd at Mothar Mountain, east of Gympie in southeast Queensland, shortly after 7am on Tuesday.
Queensland Police said a blue Honda Jazz was travelling on a bend in a 70km/h zone when it rolled and struck the woman.
Members of the public provided CPR but the woman sadly died at the scene.
Her dog also suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local vet for treatment.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 23-year-old Southside woman, suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
Locals claimed several motorists are known to speed in the area but it is not known if speed was a factor in Tuesday's crash.
Queensland Police said investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are ongoing.
