KATSEYE performed their long-awaited Coachella debut on the Sahara Stage on April 10, 2026, as a five-member group. Manon Bannerman, who has been on hiatus from the group since February, was not part of the set. She was, however, at the festival.

Bannerman was spotted in the crowd at Sabrina Carpenter's main stage headline set, reportedly accompanied by Chappell Roan and Ice Spice. Fan-taken photos of the sighting circulated widely on social media within hours of KATSEYE's performance ending. Later that night, she confirmed her presence herself: Bannerman posted an Instagram Story — a smiling selfie taken at Coachella — with the message, "6 milli of u, sending warm hugs and kisses to all of u. thank you," marking her reaching six million followers on the platform.
She was later seen at Justin Bieber’s afterparty with Lizzo as well.
Neither HYBE nor Geffen Records has commented on the specific circumstances of Bannerman's attendance. Her hiatus status remains officially unchanged.
Bannerman's public communications since February 20 have been measured and brief. Her initial statement on Weverse on the day of the hiatus announcement read: "Hi friends. I want you to hear this from me. I'm healthy, I'm okay, and I'm taking care of myself. Thank you for checking in. Sometimes things unfold in ways we don't fully control, but I'm trusting the bigger picture."
On April 2, she followed up with a Weverse DM to subscribers: "HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I'm happy and I'm healthy. I'll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me." That message came the same day fans noticed she had updated her Instagram bio to remove any reference to KATSEYE, now reading only "mademoiselle manzanita."
Her April 10 Instagram Story, posted the night of the performance she sat out, did not reference KATSEYE or the Coachella set directly.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music ahead of the performance, KATSEYE addressed Bannerman’s absence directly. "Manon has been on hiatus, and we love her so much, and we know that she’s doing well," group leader Sophia Laforteza said. "We're just really excited and we're really just rooting for all of us."
Lara Raj added, "We also want to say, like, she's our sister forever. We love her so much, and we built this together. So we just want to give her all the space and love she needs."
Neither member speculated on a timeline for her return. No announcement regarding Manon's future with the group has been made by the label.

KATSEYE's Coachella debut drew strong reviews and generated its own headline moment with the surprise appearance of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — the singing voices behind HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters — for a performance of "Golden." The five-member set was widely described as a major milestone for the group.

She was absent from the group's South American festival run in March, from the "Pinky Up" music video, and from the Coachella set. The next confirmed KATSEYE date is Weekend 2 of Coachella on April 17, followed by Governor's Ball in New York City in June.
Whether Manon Bannerman will be part of those performances has not been confirmed by HYBE, Geffen Records, or Bannerman herself.
