IT giant Wipro is acquiring select customer contracts of Alpha Net Consulting LLC and its subsidiaries, together referred to as Alpha Net Group, for $70.8 million in an all-cash transaction.
As per a regulatory filing, the business acquisition will enable Wipro’s access to some key clientele, Alpha Net Group’s customer contracts, as well as the related workforce. This will augment Wipro’s existing AI-powered and consulting-led application services capabilities, helping drive new growth opportunities.
Alpha Net Group was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, with an additional presence in Singapore, India, the UK, and the Netherlands. The company offers enterprise software development, data engineering, and managed services for global clientele.
Alpha Net Group’s revenue from the select customers whose contracts have been acquired by Wipro, for the last three completed years, was $27.9 million in CY23, $34.4 million in CY24, and $37.3 million in CY25.
The transaction is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026. The purchase consideration includes a deferred consideration in the form of an earn-out, payable subject to achievement of certain performance metrics/ conditions.
Wipro’s shares were trading at Rs 209.05 at 1 PM, up by 2.98%.
