CodeMate AI chief meets Austrian ministerial delegation
BL Mumbai Bureau · 2026-04-21 · via Latest InfoTech News, IT, Information Technology News | The HinduBusinessLine

CodeMate AI, a software solution provider for enterprises and SMEs, has built a full-stack AI coding agent to automate the entire software development lifecycle right from understanding requirements to writing, debugging and deploying code.

Unlike many cloud-dependent AI systems, the platform can be deployed fully within an enterprise’s environment, ensuring complete data privacy, security and compliance - critical requirements for governments and large organisations.

CodeMate serves over 500,000 users in over 52 countries, making it one of the rare examples of a young Indian startup building globally adopted, enterprise-grade AI technology.

Ayush Singhal, Founder & CEO of CodeMate AI, met with a high-level Austrian ministerial delegation. CodeMate was invited by Advantage Austria, the trade promotion arm of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber to represent India on the global stage.

Singhal said CodeMate’s technology has demonstrated performance that competes with solutions from global AI leaders such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Google in agentic AI-driven development tasks. The key differentiator, Singhal explained was CodeMate’s infrastructure-first approach.

The Austrian ministers acknowledged the potential of these innovations and expressed interest in exploring collaboration opportunities, particularly in sectors where secure, on-device AI solutions can drive efficiency and digital transformation.

During the interaction, Singhal spoke about India’s rapid transformation into one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems, now home to over 100,000 startups and over 100 unicorns. He highlighted how initiatives like “Make in India for the world” are helping the country transition from being a technology importer to a global exporter, contributing at scale across both software and hardware sectors.
