Nifty Bank futures
The April expiry Nifty Bank futures opened today’s session higher at 56,784 versus Monday’s close of 55,737. It is now hovering around 56,700, up 1.7 per cent.
The chart shows that the contract surpassed a resistance at 56,000 and 56,500. These levels, henceforth, will act as a support. From an intraday perspective, as long as 56,500 holds true, the bias will be bullish.
While Nifty Bank futures could stay flat for some more time, we expect it to eventually rally from the current level of 56,700 or after seeing a minor dip to 56,500.
Once the rally resumes, the contract can rise to 57,000 and then to 57,200. But in case Nifty Bank futures slips below the support at 56,500, the downtick might extend to 56,000.
Nevertheless, as it stands, the contract is above support at 56,500 and the likelihood of a rally is high.
