Natural gas futures is now trading at ₹254 (per mmBtu). The April contract has been in a downtrend over the past month, and it has lost over 7 per cent so far this month.

The contract recovered on the back of the support at ₹250. Although the broader inclination is bearish, there is a good chance for natural gas futures to see an uptick. Such a potential move can lift the contract to ₹267, which is a trendline resistance.

A breakout of ₹267 can turn the outlook positive, where natural gas futures can rally to ₹290.

On the other hand, if the contract slips from the current level and closes below ₹250, it can lead to another leg of a decline, potentially dragging natural gas futures to ₹235. Notable support below ₹235 is at ₹200.

Overall, as it stands, even though the broader trend is bearish, there is a chance for natural gas April futures to rise to ₹267.

Buy natural gas futures (April) at ₹254. Target and stop-loss can be ₹267 and ₹247 respectively.
