We’ve set out to deliver helpful, clearly cited sources, plus rich, relevant data, images and videos from your favorite publishers and content owners to inspire you to explore further. No more hunting for bits and pieces across the web to find what you need. With Copilot Search, you get the best of both a traditional search engine and generative AI chat all in one.

A clear answer is only the beginning. At Microsoft, we greatly value your trust in us and want to give you the confidence to validate and verify. That is why Copilot Search cites its sources prominently, so you know exactly where the information came from and can follow it for more context. With just a click, you can see a list of every link used to generate the curated answer.

We've designed Copilot Search with publishers and content owners in mind to support a healthy web ecosystem. In addition to the citations within the generative responses, we inline link the entire sentence or passage within the responses so you can easily navigate to the sources. We also include easy access to cited sources and all relevant web results at the top and they’re also highlighted prominently at the bottom of the result. This allows you to be just a click away from your favorite publishers and content owners.

Copilot Search in Bing is designed to meet you where you’re at in your discovery journey. Once you click a topic, results are quickly summarized, and additional follow-up searches will be suggested so you can continue exploring. Plus, in Copilot Search, your previous result is accessible from the same results page, making it simple to compile information around a single topic in context.
