In August, the Nevada Election Observation Network (NEON) hosted The New York Times at our Regional, Reservation, and County Coordinator Training in Reno. The resulting feature, published this morning, covers election observation efforts nationwide.
Senior Associate Director of Democracy Program, Sarah Cooper, was quoted on The Carter Center’s domestic election observation work: “Most Americans really care deeply about our elections,” she said. “We are not here to represent any particular outcome, any particular party, any particular candidate — we just want to make sure that the elections are well run.”
