closet-keys : “I would kill to protect my family” (<- wants to kill people) “I would die to protect my family” (<- passively suicidal) I think a lot of men just add “to protect my family” after all their fantasies How about “I would teach the world kindness to protect my family” How about “I would be a good example to the community to protect my family” How about “I would show my family a world in which they don’t need to constantly feel fear because we view people as good and worthy of our kindness and generosity………… to protect my family” If the only things that come to mind when you think of “protecting your family” are fucking violence, then you’re not protecting your goddamn family. You’re harboring violent tendencies. And when the world doesn’t give you a target for that violence, GUESS who is gonna end up being on the receiving end of it? Your motherfucking family. Maybe focus on spreading kindness to the world instead of waiting to die in some fucking bunker. That’s where all that protectionist bullshit leads.
