Grub Not Applying Configuration

If I run the command: grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg everything runs fine with no errors. However, the content of options coming from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT is not applied. The only way to apply changes is using Grub Customizer and copy/paste the content of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT into each entry of the Grub menu. What I do not understand is that the EFI folder is not in /boot/EFI but /boot/efi/EFI Grub customizer seems to point to my root partition /dev/nvme0n1p7 but the ...
